Artisan Bakers is a comprehensive, multi-tenant marketplace platform that digitalizes artisanal baking. Operating on a four-corner model, it connects registered bakeries (sellers), customers, delivery partners, and global platform administrators. Bakeries can set up storefronts, list standard products, manage their raw ingredient inventory, and offer customizable cakes. Customers can design cakes in real-time or purchase fixed-price goods, with logistics tracked dynamically by delivery agents and global admins overseeing marketplace metrics.
Bespoke cake ordering was heavily bottlenecked by manual phone consults and ambiguous requirements regarding size, tiers, and frosting. Additionally, local bakeries struggled with stock management, experiencing frequent stockouts of critical ingredients like honey or almond flour due to a lack of integration between orders and inventory.
Designing a flexible database schema that seamlessly accommodates both standard fixed-price items (breads, pizzas) and custom-tiered cake formulas, while accurately deducting ingredient quantities from inventory in real-time upon order placement.
A unified marketplace platform combining a visual custom cake configurator for customers, automated raw material stock tables with threshold alerts for bakers, and role-based portals enabling registration, checkout, order tracking, and global administrator management.

Designed a multi-tenant PostgreSQL schema with role-based access control (RBAC). Implemented atomic transaction triggers to automatically calculate required raw ingredients and adjust real-time stock levels upon checkout, ensuring bakers are immediately notified of items falling below alert thresholds.
